The ELIJA School
 
The ELIJA School is a private non-profit school in Long Island New York. It exclusively serves school age children with autism. We are an educational and treatment program, focusing on functional life and academic skills. We primarily treat the 3 core deficits of autism; communication, impeding behavior and social competencies. We utilize science based treatment of Applied Behavior Analysis, as our teaching philosophy in individual, small group, and incidental teaching settings.
Our mission is to open doors to independent growth while fostering a dignified quality of life for our learners.

This program is highly structured, individualized and supervised.

Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a BA in a related field.
- Pursue a full time position in a 12 month program.
- Must have positive work & academic references.
- Be energetic, creative, intuitive, and enthusiastic.
- Be eager to learn more about the principles of ABA and how to utilize the science to teach in individual, small group, and incidental teaching environments.
- Have experience and enjoy working with young children and young adults with autism and/or behavioral, social communicative disorders.
- MUST be able to multitask.
