The ELIJA School is a private non profit school in long island new york. It exclusively serves school age children with autism. We serve as an educational and treatment program, focusing on functional life and academic skills. Primarily treating the 3 core deficits of autism; communication, impeding behavior and social competencies. We utilize science based treatment, Applied Behavior Analysis , as our teaching philosophy in individual, small group and incidental teaching settings.
Our mission is to open doors to independent growth while fostering dignified quality of life for our learners.
This program is highly structured, individualized and supervised.
- Must have a minimum of a BA in a related field.
- Pursuing a full time position in a 12 month program
- Must have positive work & academic references.
- Be energetic, creative, intuitive & enthusiastic
- Eager to learn more about the principles of ABA and how to utilize the science to teach in individual, small group and incidental teaching environments
- Have experience & enjoy working with young children & young adults with autism & or behavioral, social communicative disorders.
- MUST be able to multitask
